I love that it is a nice slim tablet and slots in just about anywhere. I love you can adjust font size so you don't need glasses if you wear them, but forget them. Read more the background light easily for whatever situation you are in. I don't have a problem with 's not THAT slow, so not a problem for me. Some reviews say it is slow to wake up etc.
In 2019 with some travel coming up I bit the bullet and bought this Paper White from Office Works for $148.00 and well, I love it! She said she felt compelled to use it so not to offend her kids and then found she actually loved it!
A few years ago a frequent-traveller friend said she was the same until she got a Kindle as a present from her kids. Have always been a hands on page-turning book reader.
